Reality virtually turning into Virtual reality.
Health, Information, pleasures, and economics - my ideas of tomorrow.
Hello all,
Looking into technology more and more I start expanding on the idea of everything being replaced. Every aspect of our lives transforming before our eyes, health care, communications, pleasures, and economics.
The most advancements we should all point to would be healthcare. Compared to 100 years ago we have almost double life expectancy globally. In relation today most people in the world can expect to live as long as those in the very richest countries in 1950. We still have a lot of unknowns and are making breakthroughs every day. Recently we were all showed a video of a monkey playing pong and an experimental process for vaccines that may help solve the cancer cure dilemma. Hard to imagine but I am not a doctor. One accomplishment we can see is this process has created three vaccines for the biggest modern pandemic. Experimental and not FDA approved so that brings me to technology in information.
Information will be the second thing I see technology encroaching. Once healthy we communicate, we learn, and we pass it to the next generation. It started with Folklore, and religion worked this way for centuries and in my opinion created division in religion denying some basic morals of most religions. As we grow, we need a town square, as this town square grows people group and divide. One thing that cannot be divided but cannot be misinterpreted facts. As the meme goes, facts do not care about your feelings. Technology grows more and now we have 60 minutes manipulating clips and changing facts. Feelings do not trump fact, but they are still present after the fact and in the moment. For instance the flu; little less than 2000 cases in 2020 compared to 13 million in 2019. Either misdiagnosed as Covid-19, or the flu has ceased to exist? Regardless we locked down, partly destroyed our economy and our daily lives. Reports and people now being silenced in the town square, from the president to townsfolk if questioning. Big tech isn’t just a term, and it’s a danger that is shifting the town square to a dictatorial stance. It is like the kid who gets bullied at school and goes home and gets bullied online. At least he wasn’t dehumanized completely and only words would come not action. With masks, the lockdown, and the town square being silenced, it is immoral and will cause people to lose compassion.
When it comes to pleasure, this is what we are all indulged in mostly. As we all are aware of our medical improvements and the information and experience to mitigate those risks for joy. We brought the horse to horsepower, pushing now for the thrill and not travel. Photography and photo albums to memes and Facebook live streams. As we lose photo albums, we gain Vlogs. Sports went from doing able and relatable to exposed and extreme sport with a bias. With technology, we brought kick the can to call of duty with players around the world. Music expanded or changed. This is culture and our next generation only knows this. Gaming is moving more and more towards an overall shift into virtual reality. This brings my last example, economics.
Our almighty dollar is undoubtedly dying while crypto hits recent highs. If the dollar dies, the modern world undoubtedly loses the standard monetary system and will naturally result in the possible collapse of economics and possibly cause anarchy. As China is reporting they are doing well, the federal reserve prints money. If we did move to a global monetary system based on a blockchain digital currency, it would stand almost like gold being mine instead of printed. It. Innovative but hard to actually contact the alternative versions of essentially banks, overall causing massive risk when looking at theft, purchasing, and selling. As the market grows tremendously the dollar dies. Bitcoin ATMs pop up and banks are bailed out, the ultimate issue I see to bring me to my conclusion, extinction event causing the lights to go out.
As modern technology grows organically, humans move farther and farther from preserving real history. All of these distinct cultures in cultural history from Egyptians to Incan or Mayans might have possessed incredible technology and in some lore health. In the same lore times of ultimate destruction and extensive rebuilding. Incan walls were repaired poorly, grand pyramids being repaired poorly, both in a matter of a few generations supposedly. I truly think historic preservation is genuinely needed but like a rubber band, it promptly pulls me to these ideas of planetary exploration to preserve our civilized planet. I naturally imagine with the possible way things are genuinely moving, Virtual reality will realistically represent an objective reality. People being hooked up to tubes to ensure life expectancy is pushed to its ultimate limits and beyond. We are already informed online mostly, from local news to presidential tweets. We are working online and eagerly pushing towards digital pay for shopping online for our pleasures. The further step is to undoubtedly create a Bitmoji and interact virtually. We are powerfully moving towards a complete technology takeover. What happens when they cut the electricity. With all of our advances, these are ideas I expand on, what do you think?
Much appreciated for taking the time to read, have a great night, and always a better tomorrow.
